Schwindt Signs With Dodge City

Karessa Schwindt, daughter of Josh and Shawn Schwindt, recently signed with the Dodge City Community College track program. When asked why she chose Dodge over other schools Schwindt stated, "They are paying for my books and tuition, and when I took a visit there it felt like home and somewhere I would be comfortable with and it's not too close to home, but then it's not that far, so I can come back and visit friends and family once in a while."
Schwindt has received scholarships for track and cheerleading from DCCC. Karessa placed seventh in the 100 meter dash at the Kansas State Track Meet in Wichita last May, and is looking forward to returning to the state event this year. She has been selected as a cheerleader for the NCA team, performing at the Orange Bowl in 2008.
